tales from middle school

A Storytelling Pop Up Cougar Club, presented by Elk River Arts & Lectures and the Community School Collaborative.

January 2024

Tales from middle school: a storytelling pop up cougar club

A program for Sleeping Giant Middle School students.

Everyone has stories to share. Would you like to tell YOURS? This is your chance to share middle school stories & memories, work on public speaking skills, and most of all, have FUN!

During this Pop Up Club, students will explore the art of storytelling in three after-school sessions with the experienced instructors who run the Elk River Arts & Lectures Storytelling Nights. With the guidance of these storytellers, participants will brainstorm, workshop, and practice sharing true tales from their lives. Students will perform their stories during a live storytelling night (followed by a cookie reception) for friends and family!

Storytelling is a wonderful way to express yourself and be heard. No previous storytelling experience required! Pizza will be provided for students each day.

For more information contact Ms. Bandstra at SGMS or call Gina Morrison (CSC) at 307 250 6904.

Elk River Arts & Lectures would like to thank the glassybaby foundation for supporting our 2024 storytelling programs.
