charlotte freeman elk river arts and lecturesCharlotte McGuinn Freeman is the author of the novel Place Last Seen, and an essayist whose work has been published in anthologies including The Best American Food Writing and Unearthing Paradise. She’s written as well for Dark Mountain, Big Sky Journal, Terrain, Bookslut and The Rumpus. She’s a graduate of the University of Utah Ph.D. program in creative writing, and currently teaches at Montana State University. Freeman has worked as a freelance technical writer and has mentored many young people through the college application process.
